Kufufu... This is my first time here, so allow me to introduce myself. I am simply known as Mukuro-kun in this realm.
I have no problem with "loli", and I am fond of "magic". If there's something I am more fond of, it would be Japanese school uniforms, but I digress.
Today, I present to you the first Fairy Tail OVA.
For those who are not in the know, Fairy Tail is a manga written by Mashima Hiro. An anime adaptation started on October of 2009, and has went on to become quite popular and is still airing, currently with 77 episodes (78 after 2 days as I am writing this).
Fairy Tail is about a guild of wizards, where the main character, Natsu Dragneel (a fire Dragon Slayer), searches for his long-lost parental figure, the Fire Dragon Igneel. The focus isn't much on his hunt, however, but on the bonds he and Lucy Heartfilia (a stellar spirit wizard, whom Natsu meets at the first episode and serves as narrator at times) make as part of the Fairy Tail guild.
In short, it's a shounen series with lots of fighting and nakama speeches. However, Fairy Tail manages to distinguish itself from the others by having such a way to tug on people's heartstrings.
In any case, if you haven't, then you must dedicate some of your time and check it. I promise you that it won't be a waste, and don't quickly believe people who jump at the conclusion that it's "just a One Piece clone".
Going back to the main focus here, the Fairy Tail OVA, for those who follow the magical series, is based around the Bonus Chapter (161.5) of the manga entitled "Welcome to Fairy Hills". It featured Lucy's exploits inside the Fairy Hills dormitory, home of Fairy Tail's female wizards.
What's different in this OVA is that unlike the usual treatment on regular TV episodes, the OVA is not afraid to show more skin than usual (even Gray and Master Makarov). There is also the presence of blood (in a comedic way).
The difference between this chapter and the one in the manga is in this timeline, Wendy has already moved to Fairy Hills (something that doesn't happen in the manga until about 5 or 6 chapters later). There is also a lot of added scenes, mostly for fanservice purposes. There is also a side story involving the male members of the guild cleaning the pools located in the back of the guild.
The focus of the OVA was the request that Lucy was forced to take. Assumed first to be a prank, she ends up having to scour the dormitory for a "sparkling treasure" by orders of the dorm mistress, Hilda. She encounters each of the important and named characters around (with Kana Alberona notably missing, even though they had place for Evergreen and Lucky, however, I was not really expecting to see her in the first place).
The story concludes with Lucy discovering the area where the treasure was hidden: which was a small case filled with jewels. Erza tells Lucy of the story behind the jewels, and that Hilda had been dead for 6 years. It turns out that Hilda promised to give Erza real jewels one day as she forfeited her rights to receive toy jewels when they were kids, just so everyone could get one. Lucy wearing the cat costume was a part of Hilda's promise to Erza.
Wendy and Charle's inclusion in the OVA is to make sense of the current timeline, in which Wendy had already signed up as a member of Fairy Tail (and is currently enjoying her time as one of the main characters).

The opening theme used for this OVA is "Eternal Fellows", which is sung by Kakihara Tetsuya (Natsu Dragneel), while the ending theme is "Nichijou Sanka ~This Place~" by Hirano Aya (Lucy Heartfilia). These songs were included in the Fairy Tail Character Song Album along with image themes for Gajeel, Gray, Wendy, Erza and Happy/Charle.
This is only but the first planned OVA for Fairy Tail. A second one is also announced to be made, which is titled "Yousei Gakuen: Yankee-kun to Yankee-chan" set for release next month.
Kufufu... did you expect fanservice pics? I'm sorry to say that I am now out of power to do that... however, if you really wish to see more, then you must see it for yourselves.
